SUSTAINABLE WATER RESOURCES INITIATIVES (SWRI)
Welcome to the home page of SWRI, it is a platform dedicated to water resources. It is devoted to bringing the researchers, professionals, policy makers, and practitioners for improving governance and management of water and understanding and developing sustainable solutions for water resource.
The SWRI:
- Encourages exchange of knowledge among diverse disciplines engaged in water resources sustainable solutions.
- Foster mutual exchange of scholarship and practice
- Promote policy design and regimes for sustainable solutions
SWRI Goals are:
- Encourage multi-discipliniarty in sustainable solutions to water resources
- Identify local, indigenous and scientific methods for water conservation and recycling
- Bring together diverse stakeholders (researchers, government, private sector, users) on the platform to deliberate water governance issues for collective actions and sustainable solutions
- Engage and share knowledge with communities in water conservation.
- Foster appropriate institutional design
How do we achieve our Goals?
We deploy various activities to achieve our goals, which include:
- Organize seminars, talks, podcast, and discussion across disciplines and professions including government, private bodies, researchers, practitioners and target groups.
- Engage with community-based organizations and identify sustainable solution
- Organize conferences, roundtable, conversation on water governance
- Engage in research on diverse issues related to water resources sustainability
